The Grade certificate coverage gaps operation is part of the Certificate of Insurance API on BRAINIAC.software. Compare a caller-supplied certificate of insurance, as text or JSON, with the minimum limits, endorsements, and expiry date in the request. The grade is the share of each minimum that is missing. The text is not a PDF and the result is not a coverage opinion. It is exposed as POST /api/v1/coi/coverage-grade and priced at $0.04 USDC on Base. Payment uses the x402 exact scheme: an unpaid call returns HTTP 402 with payment requirements; after paying the exact USDC amount, retry the same request with a payment-signature header and Idempotency-Key. No account and no API key are required. Data sources for this product: The certificate and contract requirements provided in each request. OCR/extraction confidence is included in results. Limitations: Uncertain extraction is flagged for human review and is never treated as verified. Results are not a coverage determination; draft emails are not sent automatically. coverage-grade reads certificate text or JSON in memory. It does not open a PDF.
