How it works

BRAINIAC.software is a pay-per-call API. You do not create an account. You POST the operation, receive HTTP 402 when payment is still due, pay the exact USDC amount on Base with x402, and retry that same request.

  1. 01

    Choose an operation

Open the API list and the documentation for the call you need. Every operation is a POST with a fixed USDC price.

  2. 02

    Send the request

POST JSON that matches that operation. Include an Idempotency-Key header: 64 hexadecimal characters from 32 random bytes.

  3. 03

    Read the 402

An unpaid call returns HTTP 402. The Payment-Required header names the network, the exact USDC amount, and the address to pay.

  4. 04

    Pay with x402

Pay that exact amount in USDC on Base (eip155:8453, chain id 8453). There is no account and no API key. The x402 exact scheme carries the payment.

  5. 05

    Retry the same call

Send the identical request again with the same Idempotency-Key and a payment-signature header. HTTP 200 is the result.

  6. 06

    Reuse the key

Use that Idempotency-Key only for the same operation and the same body. A repeat returns the stored result and does not start another charge.

To call an operation:
1. POST JSON that matches the operation requestBody.
2. Send header Idempotency-Key: 64 hex characters from 32 random bytes.
3. If the response is HTTP 402, pay the exact USDC amount on Base (eip155:8453) to the payTo address in the challenge, using the x402 exact scheme.
4. Retry the same method, path, body, and Idempotency-Key with a payment-signature header.
5. HTTP 200 is the result. Reuse that Idempotency-Key only for the same operation and body so the call is not charged again.
